Product Details

The backplane PCB, also known as the main board, is a kind of substrate that is responsible for carrying the functional boards including daughter boards or line cards. The main task of the backplane is to carry the daughter boards and allocate power to the functional boards in order to achieve electrical connection and signal transmission. Therefore, the system functions can be obtained through the cooperation between the backplane and its daughter boards.

Backplane PCB has always been a specialized product in the PCB manufacturing industry. The backplane is thicker and heavier than conventional PCB boards, and its heat capacity is correspondingly larger. In view of the slow cooling rate of the backplane, the length of the reflow oven should be lengthened. It is also necessary to perform forced air cooling at the outlet to reduce the temperature of the backplane to a safe operation level.
